Sources and Ballasts

The Sources and Ballasts research activity investigates next generation light sources, such as Light Emitting Diodes, and the power supplies (ballasts) that operate them. Projects range from incorporating LEDs into tomorrow’s task lights, to reducing light entrapment within the LED, to fundamental research into how Organic Lighting Emitting Diodes operate.
